Watch, Drive, Sleep, Repeat

Wow, what a weekend! Mom, Dad, and I set out Friday morning to go down to Logan, Utah for Mom to run in the Back of the Wasatch race. She was a member of the twelve person Pass It On team. The race goes from Logan to Park City and is around 175 miles long. Annie, my oldest sister, was the team captain. It was quite the thing trying to get twelve people together to run, but everybody eventually made it there and things went fairly smoothly for our team. It took them a little less than twenty-five hours to complete the race. Dad and I followed along and cheered wherever we could.
Each team had to have three volunteers to help run the race, so Stacey, Chris, and I decided we could help out. Well, I guess it was more like Stacey decided Chris and I could help out- we were fairly willing though. Anyway, our shift was at exchange 26 in Kamas. We had to be there from 2:30 in the morning (kind of) until about 6:30. We managed the exchange area and made sure teams were there to switch off their runner. It was sooooooo cold and I hadn't taken a coat, so Chris let me wear one of his old ones. It wasn't much of a fashion statement, but it kept me warm. For our four hour shift we received some Xango and a really cool t-shirt that has the theme "Run, Drive, Sleep, Repeat" on it along with "Race Official" on the back. I thought it was pretty cool. I'm still pretty tired, but I had fun. I watched Mom and her teammates cross the finish line together. What an accomplishment! It was a long weekend, but I'm glad I was able to go and support my family, they are awesome!
