I had the honor and privilege of speaking at my convocation. One of my favorite professors (also the psych department chair) submitted my name to speak. It is really one of those things you never expect to happen to you. It was only five minutes, but I was very nervous. I think it went well though. I based my thoughts off a talk Elder L. Tom Perry gave at BYU. The speech is titled: "Be the Best of Whatever You Are." This is my favorite quote from the speech:
“One of the greatest weaknesses in most of us is our lack of faith in ourselves. One of our common failings is to depreciate our tremendous worth.”
I was very blessed with support from my family. Grandma and Grandpa Bergman made the trip down as well as Harrison's parents. Clint, Kat, Jake, Michelle, Mom and Dad all came too. My family loves me! (I know those who weren't able to make it love me too though...don't worry.)
Brother Clay (chair of the psych department and one of my favorite professors)
So, there you have it. I am a college graduate. I succeeded in getting married and getting a degree from BYU-I. :)
Maybe I'll have more time to blog now. We'll see what happens...I better not make any promises.
