Endings and Beginnings

So, I finished my first year of college. Pretty exciting stuff. I am really glad to be done, but I kinda miss college life. Weird, I know... Finals went fairly well and I got good grades, so I was pretty excited about that. It is really nice when all the hard work and effort I put into school pays off- literally. :)

After I finished my finals Becca and I decided to celebrate, so we watched Enchanted and ate cake. Not just a piece of cake though. We made a cake and we each took a fork and sat with it between us and we ate almost the whole thing! Gross, I know. It sure tasted good though. I miss Becca. We still talk on the phone and email, but it just isn't the same as being able to see her everyday. It is hard too, because Keshia is in Ecuador, so my best friends are far away from me. Only for a few months though and then the three of us are living together. I am excited. It was hard to say goodbye to everyone, but most of the friends I made up at school will be there again in the fall. I will probably even be in the same ward with a lot of them seeing as how we all liked the first floor so much.

I flew to Texas with my mom and dad the day after school got out. We had so much fun with Jana and her little family. I love them so much. They are pretty much crazy, but it was tons of fun. We did all kinds of stuff, but mainly we just spent time together. Josh got baptized on Saturday (the 12th) so I was really happy that I could be there for that. We also got to got to the Blue Bell ice cream factory and take a tour. That was pretty cool...and we got a sample at the end, so that was cool too. Here are just some random fun shots with my adorable nieces and nephew and my wonderful sister Jana and my lovely parents...

We stopped and took pictures of the Texas blue bonnets while we were on our way back from the ice cream factory. Aren't they pretty little flowers?

We also went to the temple to take pictures and to a park where there were real ROUS's. I didn't know they existed, but I guess everything is over sized in Texas. Luckily for us they weren't as aggressive as real ROUS's. They are actually called Nutria and they are really weird. Here are a couple of pictures of them...

I love the Houston temple. I think it is really pretty. It was fun to be able to walk around the grounds and take pictures. The grounds were absolutely beautiful.

We went to downtown Houston with Jana and Lindsay on Thursday. Josh and Kayla were in school, but I don't know if they would really have enjoyed it as much. We got to go to the 60th floor of the JP Morgan Chase Tower and take pictures. Wow...that is pretty high. It was pretty cool to see all over downtown Houston.

We were only in Texas for a week, and it was kind of hard to come back. Especially because Idaho is still cold or was, it was actually quite lovely today. I am glad that I get to see them again the end of June. It made leaving a lot easier. They sure are adorable!

I started work on Friday. I am back with Glennis doing the same thing that I did last summer, just through a different company. Things are going good. I am staying busy enough and I have a bunch of projects I want to work on this summer, so things are good. So, until next time...

How adorable! I'm glad you got to go to TX. The pictures are fantastic. I miss those chillens- not to mention my dear sister. Thanks for posting about your trip even though you are busy planting fake flowers for Glennis. Love you!
