This week has been really busy. My midterms ended up being spread out between two weeks (for which I am grateful) and this week I had a test on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I did okay on my first two, not as well as I was hoping, but okay. So, I was really ready for the weekend when Friday came. Friday was an absolutely crazy day. I got done with class and studied for my math test for a few hours. The studying part wasn’t that bad, because I sat in the grass and soaked in the sun. J But, the test part was awful. I spent over an hour on a twenty-five question test, and I got a 72 on it. Ouch. I’m not a fan of the C’s. In fact, I hate them. Well, better a C than an F. :) I got done with my test at four, and I had a paper due at five that I hadn’t typed yet. I walked home super fast and ended up turning it in online at 4:55. Cuttin’ it kinda close. After that I cooked dinner for my roommates and then after I got done cleaning up it was time to get ready for the Sherwood concert…what a busy day!
The Sherwood concert was fun, but it was super loud. Good thing Becca is smart and brought earplugs. She gave me some at the last concert we went too, so I had them too. I like Sherwood a lot, but I don’t know very many of their songs. They put on a good show though. The lighting was better this time, so I got better pictures of Sherwood than I did We Shot The Moon. Afterwords we were outside and one of the guitarists was out there, so we got our picture taken with him. There was a pretty good size group of us. The majority of us went to high school together, but a few of Alex’s FHE sisters came with us too. That guy in the bottom right corner just hopped in our picture. We don’t know who he is.
Saturday was busy too. I went to Bear World with Jake and Michelle and their kids Saturday early afternoonish. We met Ancle and Cassie and their kids there (cousins from my dad’s side). All eleven of us piled into the Davis van. It was a blast. We got to see quite a few bears, but it was hard getting good pictures because we couldn’t roll down the windows. I edited a few though, and they aren’t too bad. We got to see an albino elk…it only happens once in every 6 million or something…sweet. Anyway, my favorite part was the petting zoo. I got to pet deer and it was cool. After seeing all there was to see at Bear World, we went to Porter Park and had lunch. It was fun to hang out with family. I have a pretty cool family.
I got back and did some homework before I left on my date. Derik picked me up at four and we went to hike R Mountain. (It is the one that has the R on it for Ricks). It was a fun hike, and I enjoyed being outside in the sunshine. After our hike we went to Beaver Dick Park and built a fire and roasted hot dogs. It took us a while to get the fire started, but it all worked out. We had to be fairly fast, because Derik and I both had a dance lab at seven.
We got back right at seven, so I hurried and changed and sprayed myself with tons of perfume to hopefully hide some of the smoke smell. I ended up being about twenty-five minutes late. I danced with Derik for quite a while and then they said we had to switch partners. I ended up just sitting for quite a while because the girl to guy ratio was out of whack…go figure. I made a new friend though, so that was fun. After the dance lab Derik and I went to his apartment for dessert.
I got locked out of my apartment, so when Derik took me home I didn’t know what to do. I told him I would figure something out, because I didn’t want him to have to wait with me. I called all my roommates, knocked on my manager’s door…no luck. Juan and Keshia came back after a while and broke in through the window. I was supposed to watch a movie with my friend Brad, but he didn’t answer his phone, so that didn’t happen.
I ended up staying up super late talking with my roommates which was super fun, but I am really tired now. Oh well. Sorry, I just wrote a novel. Hopefully you don’t get too bored with my blabbering.
Until next time…
