What the world needs now...

...is more really cool bands like We Shot The Moon. Pretty much they are amazing and one of my favorite bands. I went to their concert when they came to Rexburg last year, not knowing how totally awesome they were, and I liked them, so I bought their EP. I have been listening to their newer stuff for a while now, and guess what? It is all good! I love it when you can buy a cd from a band and know that you are going to like every song that is on it.

Me and Becca waiting in line for the concert.

They came to Rexburg again on Friday night, so me and Becca were totally pumped to go to their concert. My friend Alex met us there and we all went in together. As we were going into the concert I saw Jonathan (the lead singer) and pointed him out to Alex. Alex told me I should go talk to him, so the three of us went to say hi and get his autograph. We got personalized signed posters, and me and Alex both bought cds and he signed them too. We got our picture taken with him too, so even before the concert started I was way happy.

There were three opening bands, Allred, Next Door Neighbor, and The Summerset. Allred was pretty good, Next Door Neighbor was rap...not a fan, and The Summerset seemed like they could have been okay, but the music was turned up WAY too loud and besides blasting my eardrums, I couldn't hear the lyrics. This is me and Becca waiting for We Shot the Moon to play...

Needless to say, we really weren't that impressed with the other bands and really just wanted to see We Shot the Moon. The concert started a little after 8, and We Shot the Moon didn't start playing until after 11. UGH...we were very ready for them when they finally got on stage...and then the power went out. I was starting to get kinda upset...I had waited for 3 hours to see them play! But, they finally got everything working again and they put on an awesome show.

So, it is kinda hard to see, but Jonathan is the one in the middle
with his arm in the air...

We got our picture taken with Trever too. He is the drummer. He seemed really nice, but I'm not really a fan of his hair. :)

The concert didn't get over until like 12:20. Alex walked us home and then we sat and chatted for a while. We Shot the Moon is coming back in February, so I'll probably go to their concert again. Hopefully they'll have better opening bands next time. They said that Rexburg is one of their favorite places to come, so they'll be back. :) Good thing too, because they are great and I like going to their concerts.

I added a couple of their songs to my playlist, so look them up...I highly recommend them! :)

Until next time...
