I am ashamed. I should be shunned. I have forgotten the blogging world and betrayed my beloved readers...at least I think I might have some. I hope. Otherwise, this is a pointless post. But, nontheless, here I am to make amends. My last post was the first part of August. So, here is what I have been up to in the last six months. Wow. Six months. Ok, please unshun me now.
August: My blissful and challenging summer came to an end. I worked my last day at WorldMark. That job is not missed. At all. But saying goodbye to Provo was hard. I loved it there. I loved my ward. I loved the people. I loved the mountains. I loved being able to live close to Annie and getting to see her and her family almost once a week...sometimes more. But life moves on, and I had to say goodbye to Provo. I also had to say goodbye to my beautiful friends. Some of us still keep in touch, but all of them will always hold a special place in my heart.
My roomies: McKell, me, Paige, and Carolyn
Hogle Zoo with Juan and Keshia before I moved back home.
Lyman Family Reunion (mi primas...me, Arianna, Tressa, and Katie)
September: I was home for a bit before I moved back to school. My last weekend home, Mom, Dad, and I took a little trip to Glacier National Park. We stayed in a yurt, went hiking and took lots of pictures. It was an awesome trip and we saw some beautiful country. I would love to go back. It is an amazing place.
I started my Junior year of college. I ran in the first Temple to Temple Relay that BYU-I put on. We had an eight person team and ran from the Idaho Falls temple to the Rexburg temple. My leg was about four miles. It was really fun to spend time with my friends and to run in a race again. It had been a while.
October: I took Becca and Renee to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. It was amazing! Ok...I'm not being serious. It is one of those things I get excited about every year and then I go and remember how totally over rated it is. :) Becca and I went to a BYU football game in Provo and I got to see a couple of my Provo buddies. We stayed with Annie and had a great weekend minus the drive home super late at night...
I took Renee to a potato cellar and gave her a little potato harvest tour. She was quite amazed at the piles and piles of potatoes. It rained that weekend and we did a little puddle jumping too.
Halloween parties took up the rest of my October. :) We had the second annual awesome Day Family Halloween Carnival. It was a success. I was a gypsy fortune teller and told fortunes with my lovely crystal ball (thanks to Uncle Grant and Aunt Barbara and fam...they got it for me forever ago)
There wasn't really anything to do on Halloween, so we got a group of us girls together and got all dressed up and just took pictures. Lame, but a blast.
November: So I can't really remember what I did in November...but I remember what happened the very last day. :) I turned 21. Renee made me dinner and got me a huge cupcake balloon...which to this day is still floating alive and well! And then we went to a bar...just joking. We didn't. Hehehe. Here we are in our sweet matching footie pajamas with monkeys on the feet.
December: I finished up my semester and moved home for a few weeks for Christmas break. It was good to be home with my family and get to spend time with them. I planned a little group get together before Keshia and Kory got married. It was so much fun to be able to spend some time with my girlfriends who I haven't hung out with for so long.
January: Enter 2010! Back to the bitter cold I know and love as Rexburg...January...my least favorite month was actually not too horribly bad this year. I went skiing with Renee right after school started again. It had been a while, but it was a lot of fun. I started dating someone too, so that helped my time go by faster and gave me something to look forward too. :)
February: Oh February. I played at music outlet for the first time ever which was exciting. I promised Renee I would play before she graduated, so I had to keep my promise. Here is a video Renee took and posted on youtube...much to my dismay...and pleasure...I messed up a little, but not too bad for being as nervous as I was. :)
I experienced my first Valentine's day actually having a Valentine. Harrison got me a plant, which I love. We have been spending a lot of time together and things are going well. :) Oh and as a side note, I don't really like that picture of me at all...but it is our only picture together, and I'm grateful to Renee for taking it, so I am willing to make the sacrifice. My head is really not twice the size of his. :)
March: I am finally caught up!!! Nothing has really happened that is eventful enough to talk about for March, so just know that I am here and alive and doing very well.
I barely looked at your post b/c my blog didn't show you as having posted. I am so pleased to know what you have been doing for the last 8 months of your life. I love you Car. And yes that definitely is a Croton. P.S. Every pic I have with Chris close-up, my head really does look twice as large as his. It's a very sad ordeal. :)
