Chocolateless Chocolate Crinkles

First off, I totally forgot to mention in my last post that Harrison got me lilies last week. He knew I had had a kind of stressful week, so he got me flowers...and my favorites too! He's good. :) I had fun taking pictures of them. They are beautiful and they brighten my day every time I see them.

Harrison's sister's birthday was last week. We thought it would be nice to do something for her. Being the kind-hearted people we are, we chose to make one of her favorite kinds of cookies...I called Mom and got the recipe and we started. We finished stirring the dough and I looked at in in dismay. It looked like brownie batter. We added a few things and tasted it...no flavor...more cocoa...still no flavor...more cocoa? Two hours later...we had a batch of cookies that did not taste. :) Oops. Ends up that the recipe Mom gave me was wrong (and no, I don't blame my mother for this). 3 Tablespoons is what it said...but nope, it's supposed to have 12. Erin (Harrison's sister) instead of cookies, got a funny story for her birthday. Better luck next time.

The funniest part is that they all still got eaten. They weren't gross...just not yummy. :)

Until next time...

Ha ha! They still LOOK tasty. Unlike the pumpkin bread recipe I had that said 1/2 c. pumpkin instead of 2 1/2 c. pumpkin until I ruined the bread AGAIN and called mom to see if I was doing something wrong. That didn't look pretty at all. Good thing we have a mom to call for recipe fixes. And for everything else, too.
