Life in Abundance

I can't believe May is just around the corner! April went by so fast. Texas was a blast. I love spending time with my fam, and it was warm too which was a wonderful bonus. I said I would post pics when I got back...and I've been back for a while, but life has stayed busy. Here are a few of my favorites.

We played and read and I took naps to catch up on my lack of sleep from finals the previous week. We went to the zoo. Clint and Jana took Mom and Dad out to eat on Friday night, so I stayed with the kids and we ate popcorn and watched The Princess and the Frog...a cute, but slightly scary movie. We had fun just hanging out the five of us. It was so much fun to be there with them. I am glad I don't have to wait forever to see them again...our family reunion is in June.

There was a sale on Quaker foods a week or so ago and Mom and I decided we should stock up while we could. Between price matching and coupons, we got Life and Captain Crunch for like forty cents a box. Because Mom had to stay at home with Grandpa, I got the job of going to pick up the cereal. I filled my cart with twenty boxes of cereal and a few other items that were on sale and proceeded with my grocery shopping. (I only wish it were as easy as that sounded...but I had to wait for someone to restock the shelves so I could get as much cereal as I wanted.) Anyway...I got some funny looks having so much cereal in my cart, but an ample supply of Life was totally worth it!

I have been trying to organize my life as well as my bedroom...I decided that this summer is going to be one of purging (or getting rid of extra unneeded stuff I've been keeping around). Right now I am just trying to put it all away though. I don't know how one person can accumulate so much stuff, but I have done a good job of it.

I have been able to see Harrison a couple of times even though he is living at home for the summer. I am going to visit him in Montana this weekend. I'm really excited.

Life stays interesting. My grandpa, who has Alzheimer's, told me as I was cleaning off the table after dinner a couple of days ago, "You're a good man." I thought he was joking for a second, but he didn't laugh. So there you have it, I am a good man. He usually doesn't confuse my gender though. He likes asking me how old I am and if I am married. :)

So there is my random little update. Life is good.

Until next time...

Hilarious! I hadn't heard about the gender mix-up. Good luck getting that one sorted out:o)
