Good times were had by all...

Well, well, well. Isn't it funny that time seems to go so much faster when you don't want it to? From finals to playing with my family, the last month has just flown by. Finals week was stressful, but I made it through and ended up with pretty good grades. I flew out of Salt Lake the day after I was done with classes. I decided that I needed some warmer weather...and I really wanted to see Jana and her family in Houston. So, I took my first airplane ride by myself. I was stuck on the plane for three hours before we even took off because the weather was so bad. I finally made it to Houston where it was a blessed 70 degrees and I was welcomed with lots of hugs from my nephew and nieces.

My time in Houston is kind of a blur. Jana and Clint decided to come out for Christmas, so my trip was actually cut short a couple of days and instead of flying back to Salt Lake, I drove back with Clint and Jana and the kids. It is a 25 hour drive...but I will get to that later.

So, I was there for a week and I helped Jana get everything ready for the trip and played with the kids and helped make treats for neighbors and stuffed and addressed envelopes for Christmas cards for family and friends...we also made time for playing on the Wii, making a gingerbread house with friends, and going to lunch with Josh and Kayla at their school. It was a full and wonderful week. I am so glad that I got to go.

The trip wasn't actually that bad. Long, but not that bad. We watched movies, played games, talked, and slept. We got home Sunday night. We had the whole family home Monday and Tuesday. It was so much fun to get to play with everyone. I love my family!

Annie and her fam and Stace and her fam left on Christmas Eve, and Clint and Kat have their own traditions for Christmas Eve, but came out Christmas afternoon, but we still had Jake and Michelle and their kids and Jana and Clint and their kids for Christmas morning. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the festivities.

All the little Texans were excited to get to play in the snow. We went sledding and made a snowman...and I made a snow dog. :) It was so much fun to be together. My family is awesome.

Well, there is a brief catch-up. :)

Until next time...

I like your update Carlie. And I'll bet Jana was so glad to have a helper that week. I could use you this next week if you want to come over. I love you!
